04-04-02 - Server Working

Finally everything is working is good order on my web host server.  I am going to try an add a few more general tutorials that I never finished and also fix up some of the older ones as they are getting out of date with programs changed and everything.  Also I may move my subscriber list to a local one off my host, I have to play with it and see how it works.  Topica is being annoying lately.

I am getting bored of just the FXP tutorials so I am working on some more general tutorials.  You can see my first on the main page.

01-28-02 - CSS Conversion Done

OK I finally got everything switched to CSS... I also made some purty gfx for my main sections like this one. How do they look?  Just a basic gradient using Paint Shop Pro.  I also added some custom gfx to my forum and finished my new style. Go see it!!

01-21-02 - CSS

I'm working my way through my pages and converting all the styles to CSS.  I pretty much have to strip all the current style out and then add in the CSS references to my main css document.  Loads of fun, but it enables me to change color themes easily and maybe I will make user selectable themes eventually... why... I do not know, just sounds cool.  I'm also changing some layout elements... I think I will make this page less boring later.

01-15-02 - New Stuff and some Info

I broke down and made a dir breaking tutorial, since the information is all public at NKB I figured what the heck... might as well.  Also I went through and made all the page titles shorter, for bookmarks sake (not that anyone cares about this).

I got some mods in my forum... not like there is much of anything to moderate yet, stop by and say hi.  Lets get some posting going on in there.

My To-Do list keeps getting bigger for this site... I come up with ideas for two new tutorials for every one I write it seems like....  Some user contributed Stuff would be really useful especially on filling.  I plan on making my own FlashFXP setup tutorial so don't bother with that... yes I know there are tons all over, but are they JTP quality sealed? Didn't think so... hmm speaking of which, I need a new gfx... the "JTP Seal of Approval" hehe.  OK so I'm little full of myself... seriously though, I think almost anyone could write these things, they just don't want to take the time to do it or manage them.

Well I finally got around to writing this thing... pretty simple pretty basic.  But many people do not know of this amazing program. Also I hope to be moving soon... my forum works only once and while right now :(

Yesterday the hits on my site increased by about 100 for a total of 263.  Don't know why... maybe everyone's resolutions was to learn how to be a scanner or something.

12-23-01 - I'm a slacker

Well if you know me personally you would know how much this is true... but anyway, I've been doing other things such as scanning and stuff I'd rather not say and have not been worrying too much about my webpage.  It's got some good content for now, when I have lots more time on my hands I will work on some more stuff to put up here.  Also the F2S free servers will be closing Feb 28 so I will be moving to a new host sometime, possibly one I actually pay money for....

12-05-01 - phpBB

I can't make up my mind on what forum to use... I like VBB the best but it costs $85 to use it legally, and I want to stay legal here.  Phorum was kind of ugly... phpBB is free and not too ugly and the 2.0 version they are working on looks bad ass so that will be nice when that comes out.  So I think I am going to stick with phpBB... BTW it is a bitch to get working right on f2s.com

12-03-01 - Verifying Tutorial

Well after 2 menthes I finally sat my but down and wrote this tutorial... and wow is it a long one... Hope I didn't make too many horrible mistakes in it, let me know if I messed anything up too bad

12-02-01 - Phorum

I now have two forums setup, VBB and Phorum... I think in the end I will go with Phorum because it is smaller and easier to manager.  Also I only have a 5mb DB and a think VBB will fill it up quite fast.  VBB is also quite sluggish sometimes because of all the advanced features I will not really use on this simple forum on my page.

12-01-01 - .htaccess

I've got a basic htaccess cgi script now so I hopefully will be adding some password protected tutorials... this would be the real good info I don't want every lamer on the planet finding out.

Also more on the forum, I just have to wait for my MySQL db to be activated, should be tomorrow.  Then I can start playing with it and try to get the forum running.

11-30-01 - Forum?

If I can get the F2S server to cooperate... for example let me upload files... (I am pretty sure their HD is full) and if I can figure out PHP and this MySQL junk then we might have a forum on here.  Don't know if anyone will use it but I think it would be a good way for people to ask me questions and things like that.

11-28-01 - New News Section

Well I decided to add a news section to my page... why... I don't know... I guess so I can keep people updated when I seem to go dead for a few months like right now.  Just been busy with things... you know how that goes.  Anyway, with the suggestion form a friend I am hoping to create a tutorial on locking folders on NT and UNIX pubs, don't know how good it will be (I only know NT myself).  Well I'll *try and keep this updated... don't know how that will work out.   Oh and BTW I also added a Links section in case you didn't notice it sitting right under the news section on the main page.
